These two doctors also had their medical practice certificates revoked for a period of 1 month.
In addition, Siam Thai Lan Trading and Service Joint Stock Company (57-59 Vu Thanh Street, O Cho Dua Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi) was also fined 65 million VND for violations at the Siam Thai Lan Trading and Service Joint Stock Company Branch (Siam Thailand Aesthetic Institute, 53-55-57 Truong Son Street, Ward 15, District 10). This is also the address where the two doctors mentioned above prescribed medical examination and treatment services for personal gain.
Violations at this clinic include: Failure to report to competent state agencies in case of change of practitioners as prescribed by law; Establishing medical examination and treatment records but not recording them fully as prescribed by law; Advertising special products, goods and services without having the content confirmed by a competent state agency before advertising as prescribed; Failure to ensure one of the following conditions after being granted a license to operate medical examination and treatment for medical examination and treatment facilities or after notifying competent state agencies for other medical service facilities, except for the form of organization of general clinics and hospitals.
This clinic was forced to remove the advertisement whose content had not been approved by a competent state agency before implementation. At the same time, its medical examination and treatment license was revoked for a period of 2 months.

Previously, on June 9, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also reported on its website about a medical incident after liposuction surgery. Through verification, the Department of Health Inspectorate recorded that patient TTLP had undergone eyelid surgery at the Cosmetic Clinic of the Siam Thai Service Trading Joint Stock Company. On the same day, this patient had liposuction on the abdomen and back at Dong A Cosmetic Hospital (218 Nguyen Trai, Ward 3, District 5).
After performing the above services, the patient had low blood pressure and was resuscitated by the surgical team and then transferred to Cho Ray Hospital in a state of anesthesia, with an endotracheal tube and unmeasurable blood pressure. After being resuscitated by the doctors there, the patient was monitored and given intensive care in the Emergency Resuscitation Department and was fortunately saved.
The Department of Health has established a team of experts to assess the level of surgical safety at Dong A Cosmetic Hospital, the results of which meet the criteria for assessing the level of surgical safety of the Ministry of Health. The Department of Health has also established a Professional Council to review, evaluate and determine the cause of the above medical incident. Continue to work with relevant organizations and individuals after receiving the conclusion from the Department-level Professional Council and strictly handle violations according to regulations.
In addition, in 2020, the Department of Health Inspectorate also discovered many violations at the clinic of Siam Thai Trade and Service Joint Stock Company Branch, including: Providing medical examination and treatment services beyond the scope of expertise stated in the operating license, except in emergency cases; establishing medical examination and treatment records but not fully recording them according to the provisions of law; Advertising special products, goods and services without the content being confirmed by a competent state agency before advertising according to regulations.
The Health Department Inspectorate has decided to fine this clinic more than 160 million VND. The additional penalty and remedial measures include forcing the clinic to remove and delete advertisements whose content has not been confirmed by a competent state agency before implementation.
In the list of administrative sanctions announced by the Department of Health Inspectorate, there is also DNG Technology Joint Stock Company (120 Ni Su Huynh Lien, Ward 10, Tan Binh District) which was fined 70 million VND for violations at the Seoulspa.VN Beauty Salon Business Location - DNG Technology Joint Stock Company (44 Nguyen Thi Thap, Him Lam Residential Area, Tan Hung Ward, District 7). This company advertised medical examination and treatment services without a medical examination license.
Future Clinic General Clinic Company Limited (Former name: Future Clinic Service Company Limited) was also fined VND 83 million for the following violations: Not ensuring one of the following conditions after being granted a license to operate medical examination and treatment for the form of organization as a general clinic; Not posting prices for medical examination and treatment services; Not keeping a medical examination and treatment book according to the provisions of law; and Advertising special products, goods and services without having the content confirmed by a competent state agency before implementation.
Finally, Edena Aesthetics Company Limited - a specialized cosmetic clinic (157 Dang Van Bi, Truong Tho Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) was fined 45 million VND for advertising special products, goods and services without the content being confirmed by a state agency.
