About Binh Dinh to run half marathon on the island

Recently, the People's Committee of Tuy Phuoc District (Binh Dinh Province) held a press conference to provide information about the 'Con Chim Half Marathon 2025'. This is the first half marathon held in this district with nearly 2,000 runners participating.

According to the Organizing Committee, the tournament will take place on August 2-3, 2025, including 5 competition distances. Of which, 3 competition distances of 5km, 10km and 20km are for adults and 2 competition distances of 600m and 1.2km are for children. The starting and finishing points are located at Cho Dinh residential area, Vinh Quang 2 village, Phuoc Son commune (Tuy Phuoc district).

Con Chim Half Marathon 2025 promises to bring unique sporting experiences combined with the pristine natural landscape and unique culture of the martial arts land of Binh Dinh, with the route going through riverside roads, fishing villages, saltwater lagoons, and rice fields.

On the running route, athletes can watch the sunrise over Con Chim land.

In addition, athletes will feel the peaceful life of local people, experience the journey back to childhood memories on a road imbued with the Vietnamese countryside.

Con Chim Half Marathon 2025 is not only a sporting event but also an opportunity to explore a nature reserve with a diverse ecosystem, where rivers, seas and mangrove forests intersect.

Because running along the athletes' route is Con Chim, about 480 hectares wide, located in the middle of Thi Nai lagoon, 5,000 hectares wide, belonging to 3 localities: Quy Nhon city, Tuy Phuoc district, Phu Cat district.

Con Chim is known as the "green oasis" of Binh Dinh, considered an ecological "treasure" with hundreds of species of fish, shrimp, and birds living together. It is a fresh, relaxing environment that creates conditions for athletes to achieve the best results.

Because the running route is very different, the tournament also limits the number of tickets to ensure the best experience for participating athletes.

Mr. Nguyen Hung Tan - Vice Chairman of Tuy Phuoc District People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee said: "Con Chim Half Marathon 2025, was scheduled by the local government to take place from March 8-9. However, because the tournament coincided with many local festival activities; causing difficulties in infrastructure and other objective conditions, it was forced to adjust, the tournament time was moved to August 2-3, 2025".
