Many people park their vehicles at spontaneous spots on the street or sidewalk at prices higher than the regulations.
Through inspection, the authorities discovered and recorded 5 cases of illegal parking of vehicles, with a total fine of 24 million VND. At the same time, they requested the removal of illegal parking spots, ensuring traffic safety and urban order, and preventing repeat violations.
According to the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate, from August 8 to August 23, the Department of Transport Inspectorate mobilized 40 people/day to coordinate with the police force, local authorities and functional forces to ensure traffic safety and order on the entire Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line. Coordinate to focus on checking and handling violations of encroachment on the station area, encroachment on the roadway, sidewalks for business and vehicle parking.
In the coming time, the Department Inspectorate will continue to direct the Traffic Inspectorate Team of Ba Dinh, Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem districts, and Mobile Inspectorate to arrange forces to coordinate with the Urban Railway Project Management Board, local authorities and functional forces to ensure traffic order and safety along the entire route.
Previously, Giao thong Newspaper reported on the situation along the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line, where illegal parking lots appeared freely under the stations, charging arbitrarily higher prices than the regulations of the Hanoi People's Committee, causing frustration for train passengers.
According to Giao Thong Newspaper, previously, the Hanoi Department of Transport coordinated with the operator of the Nhon-Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line to survey parking lots for train passengers.
Accordingly, 10 parking spots were surveyed and arranged within a 500m radius of 8 Nhon - Hanoi metro stations to serve people traveling by train, including: Cau Giay parking spot (at the dead-end road at Voi Phuc intersection, Ngoc Khanh ward); La Thanh parking spot (opposite V-Tower building, Ngoc Khanh ward); parking spot under Mai Dich bridge (Mai Dich ward); parking spot on the traffic separation island at Mai Dich intersection.
