Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will launch on February 27 with a powerful camera system through promotional posters. In different markets, the device will compete with other Ultra-branded high-end phones such as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Vivo X200 Ultra, and Oppo Find X8 Ultra.
Accordingly, Xiaomi 15 Ultra will launch the new "Leica Ultra-Pure optical system", designed to enhance image clarity and light absorption.
The phone will feature a new 1-inch main sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, both of which are designed to improve image clarity and dynamic range. Xiaomi claims the combination will set a new benchmark for its Ultra series.
The second poster highlights the 200MP periscope lens, which offers advanced light-gathering capabilities and a 9.4mm aperture. The sensor supports ultra-high resolution, a 100mm focal length, and an f/2.6 aperture. In addition, it supports lossless zoom at 200mm and 400mm, promising to bring users a great photography experience.
The device is said to use the Samsung HP9 sensor instead of the Sony IMX858 50MP periscope telephoto camera equipped on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
Previously, leaker Digital Chat Station also revealed: Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have 2 telephoto cameras. One camera has a Sony IMX858 sensor - appeared on Xiaomi 14 Ultra, using an f/1.8 aperture lens, 1/2.51 size, focal length is 70mm. The remaining telephoto camera uses a 200MP sensor with 4.3x optical zoom support, 100mm focal length and f/2.6 aperture.
The remaining cameras of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra include a 50MP main sensor with a focal length of 23mm and an aperture of f/1.6 as well as a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is likely to feature a high-end LTPO OLED panel, measuring 6.73 inches with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 pixels.
The device is IP68+IP69 dust and water resistant and has wireless charging. The battery capacity is said to be between 5,450 mAh and 5,800 mAh.
