Trawling the sea is a traditional method of fishing for seafood of the people of Cua Lo beach, Vinh city, in which fishermen use a large net (called a trawl) to surround and collect fish, shrimp or other seafood. Mr. Do Van Kien in Nghi Thu ward has been involved in the profession of trawling for more than 20 years. He shared: Each batch of nets from the time they are released until they are pulled ashore takes about 2 hours. Depending on the tide and the season, the yield varies. Some batches are big, pulling up hundreds of kilograms of fish, but some batches only yield a few kilograms, not worth the effort of dozens of people... Photo: QA
