Doan Tung Commune reaches the finish line of model new rural area

By the end of 2024, Doan Tung commune will reach the advanced new rural area finish line.

A representative of the People's Committee of Doan Tung commune said that by March 25, the locality had basically completed the criteria to reach the model new rural area finish line.

In the process of building advanced new rural areas, the commune has proactively reviewed criteria for synchronous investment; used capital effectively, avoiding waste. Therefore, many criteria have ensured to meet the standards of model new rural areas.

From 2022 to present, Doan Tung has invested nearly 110 billion VND to complete the infrastructure system of transportation, healthcare, education, cultural and sports institutions... Of which, people contributed nearly 15 billion VND.

All villages and residential areas in Doan Tung commune have places for entertainment, physical training and sports.

The commune currently has 2 industrial clusters and 200 production and business establishments, creating regular jobs for over 10,000 workers. The locality has also built a 4-star OCOP product and a clean agricultural production model. All main traffic routes of the commune, villages and hamlets are paved with asphalt and concrete. 100% of villages and residential areas have places for entertainment, physical exercise and sports.

Currently, the average income per capita of Doan Tung commune reaches 87 million VND/year, 3.4 million VND/year higher than the regulation.

At the end of 2024, Doan Tung commune was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting advanced new rural standards. The locality is completing documents to request the province to recognize the commune as meeting model new rural standards.

Up to now, Thanh Mien district only has Chi Lang Nam commune reaching the model new rural area finish line.
