At nearly 3 a.m. on April 2, smoke and fire broke out from a house with concrete walls, corrugated iron roof, and a wooden attic, about 60 square meters wide, located in an alley on Mac Van Street. At this time, many people in the house discovered the fire and shouted to put it out, but were unsuccessful, so they ran outside.

The ground floor of the house had a lot of furniture and motorbikes blocking the exit through the main door. A few minutes later, a fierce fire broke out and engulfed the entire house.
The fire caused the house to collapse, the concrete walls were broken and the wooden pillars were charred. The heat caused the corrugated iron roof to bend, leaving the window frames exposed.
Chairwoman of Xom Cui Ward, Phung Thi Chinh, said that at the time of the fire, there were 8 people in the house, 5 of whom escaped in time.
