Cinnamon is a long-standing native tree of the Dao people in An Luong commune. Up to now, thanks to the diversification of cinnamon products, the bark, trunk, branches and leaves of cinnamon trees have all been utilized as raw materials, contributing to increasing their value. Therefore, to promote the potential and advantages, the Party Committee of An Luong commune has focused on propagating and mobilizing people to continue to strongly develop the area of this traditional tree in the structure of the local main crops.
In addition to rice, cassava, and corn, every year, the commune directs people to plant new trees, replant trees, and plant on hundreds of hectares of exploited areas. Cinnamon trees have brought a prosperous and happy life to many families.
Thanks to good care, the total cinnamon growing area in An Luong commune has maintained over 2,300 hectares, with a cinnamon bark output of over 1,500 tons, and an average annual value of over 30 billion VND.
