Seeking public opinion on the draft Project on arranging communal-level administrative units and merging Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces

At the conference to deploy the work of arranging provincial and commune-level administrative units in 2025, which took place on the afternoon of April 17, the leaders of the Department of Home Affairs instructed communes and wards to organize to collect people's opinions through village meetings. Representatives of households who cannot attend village meetings can have their opinions collected through ballots.

Also at this Conference, Comrade Nguyen Dang Binh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns to guide villages and residential groups to organize public consultation; synthesize and complete the dossier to report to the District People's Committee before April 20, 2025.

The People's Committees of districts and cities shall guide and direct the People's Committees at the commune level to organize the collection of public opinions on the Project to merge Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces; the Project to rearrange administrative units at the commune level of Bac Kan province in 2025; synthesize and complete the dossier to report to the Provincial People's Committee before April 21, 2025.

Direct the Department of Home Affairs to guide and urge agencies, units and localities to implement the work of arranging administrative units according to the Plan of the Provincial People's Committee; synthesize the results of collecting public opinions, complete the Project on arranging administrative units at the commune level of Bac Kan province in 2025; send the results of collecting public opinions on the merger of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces to Thai Nguyen province before April 22, 2025; advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council to pass a Resolution approving the policy of arranging administrative units at the provincial and commune levels before April 23, 2025./.
