WVI sponsors Storm Shelter and Community House for Son Tra District

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued Decision No. 1991/QD-UBND dated September 19, 2024 approving the receipt of 1.4 billion VND from the Storm Shelter combined with Community House project in Son Tra District, Da Nang City sponsored by Word Vision International (WVI).

According to the decision approved by the People's Committee of Da Nang city, the storm shelter project combined with the community house in An Hai Bac ward, Son Tra district aims to minimize risks and dangers for local people, especially the most vulnerable children, in the event of natural disasters and floods.

The project, funded by Word Vision International (WVI), has a total budget of VND 1.4 billion and will be implemented until February 2025. The project aims to improve access to safe places for evacuation of disadvantaged households with solid houses in the event of storms, floods, and natural disasters.

In addition, the project also improves the living environment to be safe and friendly for children and the community. At the same time, it raises awareness and the ability to adapt and withstand natural disasters for people in the community.

Also through this project to help children and people in An Hai Bac ward, Son Tra district have a safe place to play, organize events, training and local meetings.

As a locality frequently affected by natural disasters, the WVI organization's sponsorship of the construction of storm shelters combined with community activity houses has profound humanitarian significance, helping children and people feel secure during storm and flood seasons, contributing to minimizing human and property damage caused by natural disasters.
