On the evening of March 31 (Vietnam time), AFP (France) quoted a source from the Myanmar military government as saying that the death toll from the March 28 earthquake in the country had risen to 2,056, with more than 3,900 injured, including nearly 300 others still missing. The death toll could continue to rise as many areas affected by the earthquake in Myanmar remain isolated.
