The Investment Project to build the new Cay Bridge approach road and the 33m extended road (through Cam Giang area) connecting Vu Cong Dan road, Hai Duong city was started in November 2024 and is expected to be completed in December 2025.

By early November 2024, localities had handed over 1.2 km of the 3.19 km of land; the remaining area of ​​about 2 km had not been handed over by the end of February 2025. In places where there was no construction site, many sections had to be treated with weak soil, requiring a lot of time to fill and wait for subsidence. Therefore, by mid-February 2025, the project was more than 2 months behind schedule.

According to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the construction of the Cay Bridge is scheduled to be completed in March 2025; Binh Giang District has basically completed the construction of the piers and is preparing to install the bridge girders. However, Cam Giang District has not been able to construct some other items of the bridge due to site clearance issues.

The project to invest in the construction of the new Cay bridge approach road and the 33m extended road (section through Cam Giang district) connecting Vu Cong Dan road, Hai Duong city has a total investment of more than 469 billion VND.

The project investment scope includes 2 sections, the 33m extended road section connecting Vu Cong Dan Street, Hai Duong City, 0.63 km long, invested by Hai Duong City. The road section leading to the new Cay Bridge, the starting point intersects with provincial road 394 at km 6+700 in Cam Dong Commune (Cam Giang); the end point connects with the beginning of the new Cay Bridge (Sat River overpass), about 2.56 km long. The route has a phase 1 investment scale with a roadbed width of 24 m, synchronous construction of intersection items, drainage, trees, lighting, signaling systems, traffic safety organization, etc.
