Today (August 19), the inspectorate of Thai Binh province concluded the case of irregular scores in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in this province after 20 working days.
Accordingly, the reason given was an error in the process of re-checking the essay test, causing 2,769 test papers to have incorrect scores. Specifically, more than 1,400 papers had lower scores and nearly 1,370 papers had higher scores than previously announced. The number of candidates with incorrect total admission scores was 1,589.
The inspection conclusion showed that Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province Nguyen Viet Hien and the secretariat did not follow the correct procedures in the process of reviewing the essay test.
In addition to announcing incorrect scores for nearly 1,600 candidates, the first round of admission scores for 4 specialized classes and 11 admission councils of mass high schools were also incorrect.
On the morning of August 20, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province will hold a press conference to provide information on the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year.

The People's Committee of Thai Binh province has issued a decision to temporarily suspend the Director of the Department of Education and Training, Nguyen Viet Hien, from July 31 to serve the inspection of the organization of the 10th grade entrance exam. The suspension period is 15 days.
