Nha Trang beach hotel sub-lease case: Khanh Hoa Chairman directs handling according to regulations

On March 28, on the sidelines of the 17th session of the 7th term Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, Tuoi Tre Online spoke with Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - about the case of some hotels arbitrarily leasing Nha Trang beach.

Mr. Tuan said he had thoroughly understood the content that Tuoi Tre Online reported about the situation of some hotels in Nha Trang arbitrarily leasing the beach to private individuals to operate tourism services.

Since then, he has directed the Nha Trang City People's Committee and related units to quickly review all business activities on Nha Trang beach. If violations are detected, they will be strictly handled according to regulations.

Mr. Tran Minh Chien - Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee - said that Nha Trang City People's Committee has established an inspection team to inspect business activities in the Nha Trang coastal area.

"We will inform you later about the test results," said Mr. Chien.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Nha Trang City Public Service Management Board said that the beach lease contract between the hotels and the board is about to expire. After the contract expires, this unit will temporarily stop renewing it to consider adding more stringent regulations to avoid violations or negativity.

It is known that the inspection delegation, checking business activities in the coastal area of ​​Nha Trang, is chaired by the Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Areas of Nha Trang City.

As Tuoi Tre Online reported, after being leased the beach by the government, some hotels in Nha Trang arbitrarily leased the beach to others, leading to many violations in tourism management.

Currently, the beach opposite Tran Phu street, divided into the section from Tran Phu - Phan Chu Trinh intersection to Tran Phu - Hoang Dieu intersection is 1,088,640 VND/m²/year; the section from Tran Phu - Hoang Dieu intersection to Tran Phu - To Hieu intersection is 450,000 VND/m²/year.

The beach opposite Pham Van Dong street, from the north of Tran Phu bridge to the intersection of Pham Van Dong - Mai Xuan Thuong is 450,000 VND/m²/year.
