VTV releases first images of "Tao Quan 2025"

Accordingly, the audience will see the return of veteran and familiar faces participating in Tao Quan 2025 such as: People's Artist Quoc Khanh, People's Artist Tu Long, Meritorious Artist Quang Thang, Meritorious Artist Chi Trung, Van Dung, Do Duy Nam, Trung Ruoi, Dung Hon.

In addition, there are also actresses Anh Tho ( film 11 Thang 5 Ngay) and Thanh Huong (who participated in Tao Quan last year).

People's Artist Xuan Bac and People's Artist Cong Ly were absent from the TV station's video report. Previously, at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's regular press conference for the fourth quarter of 2024, People's Artist Xuan Bac also confirmed that he would not participate in Tao Quan 2025.

According to the program's revelation, to have about 2 hours of airtime is a series of preparation and practice time for the artists.

Artist Van Dung shared that, on the day and time, the artists gathered at VTV, everyone ate, slept and practiced together for a whole month, until dawn.

"Our old generation will return with a breath of fresh air and hopefully, all the efforts we put in over the past month will be the best and most quintessential to the audience," Van Dung said in the VTV Connection program.

Do Duy Nam also revealed that because he practiced Tao Quan day and night, regardless of the hardship, he admitted that his "appearance has become much more haggard".

Meritorious Artist Quang Thang added: "The Tao Quan crew's requirement is to arrive on time. Each person can choose different locations to practice such as in the room, hallway, behind the stairs...". He also said that all artists will try their best and will bring interesting things to the audience.

Meritorious Artist Chi Trung also expressed that taking on a role in Tao Quan is both an honor and a joy, but also a source of anxiety. Because there are many materials in life, choosing how to put them into the program appropriately, with a humorous perspective and perspective, but also a bit of criticism.

"I hope our many sleepless nights will bring an interesting New Year's Eve to the audience," Meritorious Artist Chi Trung confided.

This year, actor Trung "Ruoi" continues to participate in the program. He said that he and the artists are happy to be able to bring joy and luck to the audience at the beginning of the new year.

Meritorious Artist, Designer Duc Hung - who is in charge of costumes for the actors in the Tao Quan program through the seasons - is also "sprinting". He shared that this year's program is very special to him because there is a reunion of many old "Taos". Therefore, he will have more special designs.

"With a strong cast, Tao Quan 2025 will surprise the audience. The audience always loves Tao Quan, so there is no reason why we should not put all our efforts and energy into having a bustling Tao Quan season," designer Duc Hung confided.

Currently, the TV station still has no official information about who will be the directors of Tao Quan 2025. This year, the program is produced by VTV3 crew, instead of VFC like previous years.

According to private sources, Meritorious Artist Bui Nhu Lai - Vice Principal of Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema - will take on the role of director of Tao Quan. The program's script was written by Dinh Tien Dung.

Previously, sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Meritorious Artist Chi Trung said that this year's Tao Quan script has many innovations. Initially, the Tao Quan script was written long, but later, during the rehearsal process, it was shortened.

"We still stayed up until 1-2am to practice our lines. At first, the crew planned to work until midnight and then go home, but after practicing, chatting, and lingering, we still couldn't leave the station until morning," Chi Trung revealed.

Meritorious Artist Quang Thang also shared: "This year, the script will have many new things, closely following current events and life. I hope the artists will bring refreshing laughter to the audience."

Tao Quan is a television comedy show, first released in 2003, loved by audiences for its humorous, satirical content, with profound criticism when looking back at outstanding events each year. After each broadcast, Tao Quan attracts a large number of viewers and interest.

In 2020, Tao Quan had to stop broadcasting after 16 consecutive years, causing much disappointment and regret for the audience. Instead, VTV aired a comedy show called Vu Dai Village in the Integration Period with a new format.

In 2021, Tao Quan returns with a familiar version. In 2022, the program will be without People's Artist Cong Ly and People's Artist Xuan Bac.

In 2023, Tao Quan marks its 20th anniversary. The program brings together artists who have been with the show for nearly two decades, such as: People's Artist Quoc Khanh, People's Artist Cong Ly, People's Artist Xuan Bac, People's Artist Tu Long, Meritorious Artist Chi Trung...

In 2024, the Tao Quan program will "change the cast" when artists who have been with the show for the past two decades such as: People's Artist Xuan Bac, People's Artist Tu Long, Meritorious Artist Chi Trung, Meritorious Artist Quang Thang, artist Van Dung... will not participate.

Instead, there are faces such as: Artist Ba Anh as Traffic God, artist Quoc Quan as Economic God, artist Tu Oanh as Cultural God, Quan Anh as Social God...
