Closing today's trading session, VN-Index stopped at 1,251.71 points, down 4.64 points (-0.37%); VN30-Index decreased 3.31 points (0.26%), down to 1,294.3 points.
On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the total trading value increased compared to the previous session but remained low at over VND11,000 billion. Foreign investors continued to net sell. This group bought over VND1,471 billion and sold over VND1,543 billion. In this session, the selling pressure was not too great but the buyers pushed the price down deeply.
Declining stocks dominated with 210 stocks going down and 163 stocks going up. In the VN30 group, the number of stocks increasing and decreasing in price was 10 and 18, respectively. The number of industries decreasing was dominant, but the decrease was generally below 1%. Specialized services and trade, health care were the two industries that decreased by more than 2%.
In the last trading session of the week today (September 13), the VN-Index reversed, falling more than 4 points but still maintaining the 1,250 point mark; liquidity continued to be low (illustrative photo).
Going against the market were 10 sectors, of which, food and essential goods retail, semiconductors, and media and entertainment increased by over 1%. Securities stocks performed positively with many codes increasing in price such as: HCM increased by 1.21%, BSI (0.96%), SSI (0.16%), CTS (0.92%), FPT (2.33%), MBS (1.87%)...
The strongest impact on the market decline was GAS, which took away nearly 1 point; followed by VNM (0.9 points), MSN (0.3 points), BID (0.2 points)...
In today's session, the largest code in the market, VCB, contributed the most positively to the VN-Index with 0.55 points; followed by FPT (0.25 points)...
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, at the end of the session, the HNX-Index stopped at 232.42 points, up 0.51 points (0.22%); the HNX30-Index stopped at 504.13 points after inching up 1.45 points (0.29%). Trading was at a low level with approximately VND750 billion changing hands.
