Vinh Phuc has focused on building information technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity from the provincial to the communal level. To date, 100% of agencies and units in the three-level political system are equipped with computers, LANs and broadband Internet connections to serve professional work. In particular, the province has deployed a dedicated government data network, improving security and efficiency in state management.
The application of document management and administration software has been implemented synchronously, helping to reduce the use of paperwork, increase transparency and efficiency in work processing. The official email system is widely used, supporting the rapid exchange of information between agencies and units.
Recognizing the importance of the digital economy, Vinh Phuc has issued many policies to support businesses in the digital transformation process. The province has spent nearly VND 2,000 billion in 2024 to implement digital infrastructure projects, apply advanced technologies such as cloud computing, build digital data centers and network information security monitoring centers.
Enterprises in the province have actively applied digital technology to production and business activities. Vinh Phuc Electricity Company is a typical example when striving towards the goal of becoming a digital enterprise, ensuring stable electricity supply and improving service quality for customers.
Vinh Phuc has stepped up propaganda and raised people's awareness of the benefits of digital transformation. Online public services have been widely deployed, helping people access information and carry out administrative procedures conveniently. To date, 100% of district-level officials, civil servants and public employees and 99% of commune-level officials and public employees are equipped with computers and internet connection, creating favorable conditions for handling work and serving the people.
Vinh Phuc Newspaper has also applied digital technology to reach the public, through building a Youtube page, fanpage, Tiktok and Zalo accounts, bringing readers new and convenient experiences.
Despite achieving many positive results, the digital transformation process in Vinh Phuc still faces a number of challenges such as unsynchronized technology infrastructure, lack of high-quality human resources and uneven awareness of digital transformation.
To overcome this, the province has issued Plan No. 37/KH-UBND for 2024, proposing specific solutions such as raising awareness of digital transformation, training human resources, investing in information technology infrastructure and promoting cooperation with technology enterprises.
With the determination of the provincial leaders and the consensus of the people, Vinh Phuc is getting closer to the goal of becoming one of the leading localities in digital transformation. The launch of the Vinh Phuc Open Data Portal in October 2024 is an important step forward, facilitating the effective sharing and use of data, promoting the development of the digital economy and digital society.
