Honoring 25 outstanding teachers in 2024

Da Nang City People's Committee organized the awarding of the Third Class Labor Medal to 1 collective; the Government's Emulation Flag to 4 collectives; the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to 2 collectives and 6 individuals; the City People's Committee's Emulation Flag to 1 collective; honored and awarded prizes to 25 "Outstanding Da Nang Teachers" in 2024.

On November 19, at the Ceremony of presenting the Outstanding Da Nang Teachers Award and commending and rewarding the 2023-2024 school year on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024); the leaders of the City Party Committee and People's Committee of Da Nang City, authorized by the President and Prime Minister, awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to 1 collective; the Government's Emulation Flag to 4 collectives; the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to 2 collectives and 6 individuals; awarded the Emulation Flag of the City People's Committee to 1 collective; honored and awarded the Prize to 25 "Outstanding Da Nang Teachers" in 2024.

Speaking at the celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh, on behalf of the city's leaders, sent deep gratitude to teachers and affirmed the silent dedication of teachers in educating and training generations of students with talent, virtue, and noble beliefs, realizing the goal of improving people's knowledge, training human resources, and nurturing talents to serve the country's industrialization.

Mr. Ho Ky Minh expressed his belief that each teacher will forever be a shining example of tireless efforts and responsibility of the teaching profession in the face of the requirements of comprehensive innovation. Each teacher is a spreading nucleus, a leader of the learning movement, discovering and nurturing young talents, providing comprehensive education to students, helping them develop comprehensively to soon become excellent citizens of the country.

Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City Le Thi Bich Thuan said that in the 2023-2024 school year, the Da Nang education sector has basically completed the set goals.

Many deeply humane policies, including tuition exemptions, have contributed to sharing people's difficulties, creating conditions for all students to have the opportunity to go to school.

Basic schools are invested in the direction of standardization, modernization, and synchronization, ensuring that 100% of students study 2 sessions/day.

In the 2023-2024 school year, at the National Excellent Student Competition, Da Nang had 61 students winning prizes, including 2 First prizes; 1 excellent student won First prize at the UPU International Letter Writing Competition and was the only representative of Vietnam to participate in the international competition. At the 2024 National Phu Dong Sports Festival, the Da Nang city student sports delegation ranked 3rd overall with 64 Gold Medals.
