Ookla Speedtest has released a report showing that Vietnam is the country with the 50th fastest mobile network speed in the world. In June 2023, the average download speed of mobile networks in Vietnam reached 47.31 Mbps, the average upload speed reached 19.44 Mbps. Compared to May 2023, Vietnam's ranking dropped 2 places.

In addition, Ookla Speedtest also announced the fastest mobile network in the second quarter of 2023 in Vietnam among the three largest mobile networks in the market, Viettel, VinaPhone and MobiFone. According to Ookla Speedtest's report, VinaPhone is considered the fastest mobile network in Vietnam with an average download speed of 52.39 Mbps. Viettel ranked 2nd with an average download speed of 49.46 Mbps, MobiFone ranked 3rd with an average download speed of 35.77 Mbps.

In terms of network latency, VinaPhone still leads with the lowest latency at 34 ms, followed by MobiFone with 36 ms and finally Viettel with 40 ms.

In addition, Speedtest's report also assessed the stability of network operators. Accordingly, VinaPhone continued to rank No. 1 with a very high stability level of 94.8%. Following VinaPhone in second place was Viettel with a stability level of 93.6%. MobiFone ranked third with a stability level of 89.5%.
In addition, Ookla also conducted aggregate performance tests of major mobile phone manufacturers and found that Apple devices had the fastest average download speeds in Vietnam in Q2/2023, reaching 52.51 Mbps.
