Mr. Alex Haigh, CEO of Brand Finance - Asia Pacific, further explained the evaluation method for Viettel.

About the Brand Investment pillar: This pillar represents all the levers a business can use to influence brand equity.

In this aspect, Brand Finance experts believe that Viettel is continuously rated as the most valuable brand in Vietnam due to its successful expansion into the international market.

"Viettel has established branches in many countries. This highlights Viettel's ability to adapt to diverse markets, leverage its expertise and create value on a global scale. Furthermore, Viettel's success abroad has enhanced Vietnam's position in the international arena and paved the way for other Vietnamese businesses to explore and succeed in many new potential markets," said Mr. Alex Haigh.

After nearly 20 years of foreign investment, Viettel is currently in the top 20 leading enterprises in the world in telecommunications investment, on par with developed countries. To achieve this achievement, Viettel has launched a foreign investment strategy very early with the desire to expand the market and create new development space. Viettel has conducted business in 10 foreign markets, spanning 3 continents (Asia, Africa, America). 7/10 of Viettel's foreign markets are in the top in terms of mobile market share in the host countries.

Viettel continues to be the most valuable telecom brand in Southeast Asia in 2023

Viettel is one of the pioneering and key enterprises in the national digital transformation strategy in the fields of telecommunications - information technology and high-tech defense industry. In 2022, Viettel's total revenue increased by 6.1%. The digital solutions and services sector showed a breakthrough, with revenue growing by 58%.

Along with that, Viettel has received the trust of ministries/sectors and localities in implementing technology projects. Up to now, Viettel has accompanied, consulted and implemented 19 digital transformation projects for more than 20 units under ministries and nearly 40 projects of Smart City Monitoring and Operation Center (IOC) implemented in many provinces and cities across the country.

In the field of national defense and security, Viettel has researched and produced more than 50 types of products in 10 high-tech weapons and equipment sectors to supply to the Army; mastering the entire 5G network system from radio transceiver stations, transmission equipment and core networks. To date, Viettel has widely deployed all products in the 5G ecosystem.
