On the afternoon of November 21, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spokesperson Pham Thu Hang answered questions about Vietnam receiving a number of US-made training aircraft.
According to Ms. Hang, on the basis of the defense cooperation agreement between Vietnam and the US, on November 20, Vietnam received five new generation T-6C training aircraft manufactured by the US.
This activity is within the framework of the well-developed Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the US, actively contributing to peace and stability in the region as well as in the world, the spokesperson affirmed.
Previously, the handover ceremony of 5 US-made T-6C training aircraft took place in Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan).
These are the first five aircraft in a batch of 12 T-6C aircraft that the US will transfer to Vietnam, within the framework of the agreement signed between the two countries.
