Among them, Ho Chi Minh City maintains its position as the most sought-after destination, where tourists can admire the brilliant fireworks display on the Saigon River in the moment of welcoming 2025.
The pearl island of Phu Quoc rose to second place, up three places from last year. Familiar destinations such as Da Nang, Hanoi and Nha Trang were among the top five most popular destinations for international visitors.
For the domestic market, Ho Chi Minh City continues to assert its leading position, followed by the dreamy city of Da Lat, Vung Tau with its peaceful beaches, the capital Hanoi and the coastal city of Nha Trang. This year, Nha Trang has returned to the top 5, surpassing Phan Thiet.
Meanwhile, Bangkok, Taipei (Republic of China), Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong are the international destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists during the New Year holidays./.
