On the afternoon of March 20, U22 Vietnam drew 1-1 with U22 Korea at Yancheng Olympic Stadium (Jiangsu Province, China). This was the opening match of the CFA Team China 2025 Friendly Tournament.

This is a rather unfortunate result for coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team when they had a good game and scored a goal to take the lead but were equalized in the last minute.

The opening goal came to U22 Vietnam in the 53rd minute. Starting from a sharp attack on the right wing, the ball was bounced out for Thanh Nhan to have the opportunity to shoot a tricky shot to score a goal for the home team.

In the following minutes, Mr. Dinh Hong Vinh's students defended very tenaciously until the 90th minute.

But after a classy combination from the opponent, the ball was jumbled in front of the penalty area, creating conditions for Jeong Jae Sang to escape and score the equalizer 1-1 for U22 Korea.

U22 Vietnam played well for almost the entire match against the top opponents in the continent. However, just one moment of insecurity and we paid the price.

Speaking after the match, coach Dinh Hong Vinh said that the team was not afraid to face strong opponents. He considered this a useful opportunity for young players to gain valuable lessons.

According to the match schedule, U22 Vietnam will face U22 Uzbekistan (March 23) and U22 China (March 25).
