At Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), DOJI Group, and PNJ Company, the price of gold bars was listed at VND94.3 million/tael (buy) and VND95.8 million/tael (sell). The gold price increased by VND1.4 million/tael in both buying and selling compared to the end of yesterday's trading session.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the buying price of SJC gold is 94.8 million VND/tael and the selling price is 96 million VND/tael. Thus, compared to yesterday's session, the gold price decreased by 200,000 VND/tael in the selling price and remained unchanged in the buying price.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited listed the price of SJC gold at 94.4 million VND/tael (buy) and 95.8 million VND/tael (sell). This price increased by 1.4 million VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to yesterday.
Bao Tin Manh Hai Company Limited listed the price of SJC gold at 84.4 million VND/tael (buy) and 86.4 million VND/tael (sell). This price remained unchanged in both buying and selling directions compared to the closing price of yesterday's trading session.

World gold price today March 15, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4am today, Vietnam time, was 2,984.56 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.25% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,726 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 92.5 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.3 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Spot gold hit a record high of $3,004.86 an ounce on Thursday, marking its 13th peak in 2025, according to Reuters. Prices have risen 14% this year, after a 27% surge in 2024.
“With central banks continuing to buy, there are a number of factors driving demand,” said Suki Cooper, an analyst at Standard Chartered. “Amid geopolitical uncertainty and ongoing tariff changes, demand for gold remains strong.”
Since the start of US President Donald Trump's administration, protectionist policies have roiled global markets, with his tariffs sparking swift retaliation from China and Canada.
“With the stock market sell-off and political risks looming, we are starting to see a return of Western investors to gold, which could push prices much higher,” said John Ciampaglia, CEO of Sprott Asset Management. “We view gold as an ‘insurance policy’ and a source of liquidity in a difficult market environment.”
Tariffs have added to concerns about inflation and trade tensions, prompting investors to seek gold as a safe haven.
Meanwhile, gold holdings in COMEX-approved vaults hit a record 40.56 million ounces as traders piled into the space amid tariff uncertainty. However, inflows have slowed in recent weeks.
Investor demand for gold is soaring, with physical gold-backed ETFs recording their biggest weekly inflows since March 2022, according to February data from the World Gold Council.
SPDR Gold Trust (GLD), the world's largest gold-backed ETF, saw holdings rise to 907.82 tonnes on February 25, the highest since August 2023.
“There is likely to be more inflows into safe-haven assets like gold, especially as investors move away from growth stocks amid heightened uncertainty and concerns about the future,” said Dina Ting, head of global index portfolio management at Franklin Templeton. She noted that while investment strategies vary, a 5% to 10% allocation to gold can provide effective diversification.
