People in Go Phao hamlet, Tan Cuong commune (Thai Nguyen city) actively participate in making concrete roads.

Arriving at Go Phao hamlet, our first impression was the spacious, clean concrete roads, with spacious houses and green gardens on both sides. Mr. Hoang Ngoc Que, Secretary of the Go Phao hamlet Party Cell, proudly said: These results are thanks to the joint efforts of the whole community. Although we have achieved the model NTM standard, we continue to strive to improve the quality of life. The Go Phao hamlet Party Cell has developed a specialized Resolution on implementing the model NTM hamlet, phase 2023-2025; the hamlet has focused on reviewing each achieved criterion to continue to maintain and improve the "immature" criteria.

One of the outstanding results after achieving the model NTM standard is that the hamlet has completed the expansion of the main road nearly 1km long, contributing to the completion of 100% of the hamlet's main roads and alleys being poured with clean concrete. Previously, this road was only 3.5m wide, but thanks to the voluntary contribution of hundreds of square meters of land from the people and the cost of more than 350 million VND (an average of 800 thousand VND per person), the road has been upgraded, expanded to 5m and put into use in 2024.

In particular, there are some degraded roads in the hamlet, some households have voluntarily donated hundreds of square meters of land and money to rebuild. For example, the family of Mr. Mai Van Dung donated nearly 400 square meters of land and together with another household in the hamlet spent more than 300 million VND to build the hamlet's main road. Sharing about this, Mr. Dung said: Seeing people having difficulty traveling, I and another household on this road decided to contribute in advance to the construction to help people travel more conveniently. Although the total cost is not small, but seeing the hamlet develop, everyone is happy.

Currently, 100% of the main roads and alleys in Go Phao hamlet, Tan Cuong commune (Thai Nguyen city) have been widely concreted.

To increase income, recently, Go Phao hamlet has focused on converting crop structure, applying science and technology to tea production - the main crop in the economic development of the people. Currently, Go Phao has more than 30 hectares of tea, of which 80% are high-quality tea varieties such as LDP1, TRI777. In particular, 50% of the area has been produced according to VietGAP and organic standards, helping to increase economic value for the people. Thanks to that, the average income per capita of the hamlet has reached nearly 55 million VND/person/year (an increase of 5 million VND/person/year compared to 2022), and the hamlet no longer has poor households according to multidimensional standards.

In addition, environmental protection, security and order, digital transformation, building cultural families, etc. have been paid attention to and implemented by Go Phao hamlet with many results. Currently, out of a total of 116 households (with 468 people), 70% of households have completed level 2 electronic identification...

Ms. Mai Thi Bay, Head of the Village Front Committee: We have established environmental self-management groups, regularly propagandizing and mobilizing people to classify waste at source and limit the use of plastic bags. Each family has a waste sorting bin, and at the same time maintain the planting of flowers along the roadside. Thanks to that, not only are the village roads clean and beautiful, but people's awareness of environmental hygiene has also been significantly raised.

People in Go Phao hamlet, Tan Cuong commune (Thai Nguyen city) focus on increasing the value of tea products, contributing to improving their lives.

With the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check and enjoy", Go Phao is continuing to strive to further improve the quality of the model NTM criteria. Mr. Hoang Ngoc Que added: In the coming time, we will focus on improving the quality of traffic infrastructure; promoting the application of science and technology in tea production; promoting digital transformation in the management and production of tea products... To do this, we always attach importance to promoting grassroots democracy, consulting people's opinions in all policies and development plans of the hamlet.

Mr. Le Tuan Anh, Vice Chairman of Tan Cuong Commune People's Committee, assessed: Go Phao hamlet has 90% of Catholic households. Implementing the New Rural Development Program, Go Phao, although having a lower economic starting point than Nam Dong and Hong Thai 2 hamlets, has made a strong breakthrough thanks to the solidarity and consensus of the people. The people here are very enthusiastic in participating in movements, willing to donate land and contribute funds to build rural infrastructure, contributing to beautifying their homeland.
