(NLDO) - About 45 km from Thanh Hoa City, Ben En National Park still retains its wild, majestic beauty and is considered the "Ha Long on land" of Thanh Hoa.
Ben En National Park was established in 1992 with an area of 16,643 hectares, including 8,544 hectares of primary and regenerated forests, spread over two districts of Nhu Thanh and Nhu Xuan, Thanh Hoa province.

Ben En was formed from 4 streams and the Muc River. In 1977, the Muc River was blocked, accumulating water to form a large lake of about 4,000 hectares, tens of meters deep, with 21 large and small islands creating an extremely charming landscape, with the water surface blue all year round.
In addition, Ben En National Park is also home to many rare species of animals and plants. The park currently has 50 orders, 177 families, 216 genera and more than 1,000 species of animals, including 91 species of mammals, 201 species of birds, 54 species of reptiles, 31 species of amphibians, 68 species of fish, and 499 species of insects.
