On April 19, the Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards (VCA) continued to launch its second season (VCA 2024) with new points in the competition rules, in the organization of the awards and especially the addition of an award category voted by the online community.

Vietnam Digital Content Creation Award 2024 (VCA 2024), in addition to the 7 award categories announced from VCA 2023, in 2024, the Organizing Committee added the 8th category, the "Inspiring Digital Content Creator" award.

This is a new award category to honor businesses, organizations and individuals who have made positive contributions to the field of digital content creation and received much love from the public, voted by the community through the Online Voting System on the official portal of the award.

The names of the award categories for digital content works and products this year have also been adjusted to clarify and expand the scope of products participating in the competition, including: outstanding videos and short films; outstanding videos and commercials; outstanding digital content products in the field of education; groups of categories for outstanding animated films, outstanding animated scripts and outstanding animated character sets.

The criteria for evaluating digital content products also focus on encouraging creativity and originality. For businesses, organizations and individuals to be honored, they need to demonstrate long-term vision and contributions to the development of culture, education and building a civilized community through digital content products.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association - Head of the Award Organizing Committee said: "VCA 2024 will continue to promote the development of the digital content industry, create inspiration to strongly develop the community of digital content creators, develop many Vietnamese digital content products to reach out to the world, contributing high values ​​to Vietnam's digital economy".

Mr. Do Lenh Hung Tu, Chairman of the Preliminary Council of the award, said: “The award will be an important boost not only for professionals but also for non-professionals to participate, which will bring richness with many good content products and is an opportunity for us to find more and more deserving names for the award.”

Speaking at the VCA 2023 Awards Ceremony in December 2023, journalist Le Quoc Minh, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said: “With the rapid development of technology, anyone can now create interesting content products. I think that VCA 2024 can attract up to thousands of applications because we can see that the creativity of digital content creators is borderless. The most important thing I hope for in this award is to be able to guide digital content creators to create more meaningful, educational, and socially useful content.”
