On the night of April 12, the folk music and art program "The Call of the Highlands" took place at the Ba Kieu Temple flower garden and the walking space around Hoan Kiem Lake, attracting a large number of people and tourists.

Gong performances, bamboo musical instruments, and Central Highlands folk songs resounded enchantingly in the heart of Hanoi, recreating the unique cultural space of the basalt land. The program honored the heritage value of the Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space - a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO.
In particular, on the evening of April 13 at the Hanoi Drama Theater, the opera “Khat vong Dam San” left a strong impression on the audience. Inspired by the epic Dam San – a masterpiece of Ede folk literature, consisting of 5 chapters: Dam San and H'Nhi; Xac tom Mtao Msei; Buon sang co uc; Noi mien sang; Mat troi roi cao loc la, the play not only recreates the image of the legendary hero of the Central Highlands but also incorporates new creations about love, the desire to protect the village, and harmony with nature.

“Khat vong Dam San” is a key art project approved by the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee with the expectation of becoming a unique cultural and tourism product of national significance. The opera was composed by musician Nguyen Cuong; scriptwriter and general director: Hong Hoa; general choreographer: People's Artist Y San Alio; with the participation of Meritorious Artist Y Joel Knul; Y Ko Nie; H'Lueng Nie, Y Moan Hmok, Hoang Duyen with a traditional orchestra and an international orchestra, the work evoked many emotions for the audience.
The two performances in Hanoi are not only cultural events but also an opportunity for the community to better understand the lifestyle, soul and identity of the Central Highlands ethnic groups; thereby promoting the image of Central Highlands culture to the public of the capital; at the same time, opening up opportunities to bring folk art to the big stage, reaching more widely to domestic and foreign tourists.
