Japan U23 defeated UAE U23, won ticket to quarter-finals

Japan U23 won 2-0 against UAE U23, thereby securing an early ticket to the quarter-finals of the 2024 AFC U23 Championship. This result also helped Korea U23 advance and sent China U23 and UAE U23 out of the tournament early.

Both of Japan U23's goals in this match were scored from headers. Seiji Kimura opened the scoring in the 27th minute and Sota Kawasaki sealed the result 2-0 against UAE U23 in the 66th minute.
