USD exchange rate in the world today
The US dollar fell in the last trading session, after a series of economic data released showed the US economy remains resilient, while the euro recovered after comments from European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde.

The greenback fell further after data showed new U.S. factory orders unexpectedly rose in May, despite a downward revision in the previous month. Meanwhile, the Conference Board's consumer confidence index rose to 109.7 in June from 102.5 in May, its highest level since January 2022.
“There is no sign of a recession coming,” said Joseph Trevisani, senior analyst at FXStreet.com. Markets now expect the Fed to raise its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points in July, bringing the end-of-term rate forecast to 5.375%.
Meanwhile, the Japanese yen fell 0.36% against the greenback, currently at 144.02/USD. On June 27, Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki warned of a response if the currency continued to depreciate. The Japanese currency has been under pressure as the Bank of Japan maintains a loose monetary policy, while central banks around the world have begun to rapidly raise interest rates to curb inflation.
Elsewhere, the euro rose 0.49 percent to $1.0957 after rising to $1.0976, its highest since June 22, following comments from ECB officials. Lagarde said that inflation in the euro zone has entered a new phase and could last for some time. Therefore, it is unlikely that the central bank will declare that it has reached its highest interest rate in the near future.
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey and Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda are scheduled to speak at a conference with Lagarde on June 28.
