Gold bar price increases gap with gold ring price
The world gold price today continuously "swings", at times falling to 3,221 USD/ounce and then rising to 3,237 USD/ounce.
At 3:30 p.m., the world gold price was at 3,223 USD/ounce. Converted according to the exchange rate listed at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 101 million VND/tael.
The domestic gold bar price today hit a new record high: 107.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 1 million VND/tael compared to last weekend. Compared to this morning, the domestic gold price increased by 500,000 VND/tael.
The difference between buying and selling gold prices is up to 2.5 million VND/tael.
One noteworthy point is that after a period of maintaining the same price, within a week, the price of SJC gold bars has continuously increased the gap with 9999 gold rings.
This afternoon, the selling price of 9999 gold rings at SJC Company was 105 million VND/tael, buying price was 102 million VND/tael, the difference between buying and selling price was up to 3 million VND/tael.
Domestic gold price is 6.5 million VND/tael higher than world price
At PNJ Company, the selling price of SJC gold bars also increased by 1 million VND/tael, to 107.5 million VND/tael, the buying price was at 105 million VND/tael.
However, the selling price of 9999 gold rings is lower, at 105.1 million VND/tael, buying at 102 million VND/tael.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the selling price of 9999 gold rings increased by 1.1 million VND/tael, at 106.2 million VND/tael, buying at 102.6 million VND/tael.
US President Donald Trump’s tariff war with unpredictable developments last week has caused strong fluctuations in the global financial market. Last week, the world gold price increased by 6%, marking the strongest weekly increase in gold prices since March 2020.
Entering the new week, world gold prices started the new trading week with a downward trend, showing an increasing profit-taking trend.
The US dollar and US Treasury bonds were also sold off heavily last week, reflecting pessimism amid the escalating trade war.
Compared to the converted world gold price, the domestic gold price is 6.5 million VND/tael higher.
