On March 20, the Nghi Son Port Border Guard Command coordinated with the People's Committee of Nghi Son Commune (Nghi Son Town) to organize propaganda for 135 vehicle owners and fishermen in the area on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

Accordingly, the propaganda content focuses on: some common illegal fishing behaviors, detailed regulations before going to sea, during fishing and after the end of the trip; Article 43 of Decree 26/2019/ND-CP regulating the management of fishing vessel activities in Vietnam's sea areas; Article 25 of Circular 23/2018/TT-BNNPTNT regulating the marking of fishing vessels; some regulations on sanctioning violations according to Decree 42/2019/ND-CP on the field of fisheries; Decree 42/2019/ND-CP of the Government regulating the authority of the Border Guard force in handling violating vessels.

Nghi Son Port Border Guard Command presented Uncle Ho's photo and national flag to fishermen.

On this occasion, the Nghi Son Port Border Guard Command presented 120 photos of Uncle Ho and 240 national flags, and distributed more than 150 propaganda leaflets to vehicle owners and fishermen.

Nghi Son Port Border Guard Command and local leaders presented Uncle Ho's photo and national flag to fishermen on fishing boats.

On the same day, the unit coordinated with Nghi Son Commune People's Committee and Thanh Hoa Agricultural College to open a training class for captains and chief engineers for 140 students in Nghi Son Commune, Hai Thuong Ward and Hai Thanh Ward (Nghi Son Town).
