The films “Green Star in the Waves”; “Red Dawn”; and the documentary “Spiritual Image” were screened during the film week celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army in Cao Bang.
On December 10, the Department of Cinema, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province, and related units to organize the "Film Week to Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam People's Army in Cao Bang."
The organizers will screen the following films: “Green Star in the Waves” produced by the People’s Army Cinema in 2023; “Red Dawn” produced by the Vietnam Cinema Association Film Studio in 2021; and the documentary “Spirit Image” produced by the People’s Army Cinema in 2024.
In addition, the film crew and artists, actors, and MCs will interact with officers and soldiers of the Border Guard Command; officers, teachers, and students of Cao Bang Ethnic Boarding School.
Through the exchange, cadres, soldiers, people, teachers and students will understand more deeply the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Army through films, behind-the-scenes stories of film crews, about daily life as well as the artistic work of Vietnamese film artists.
At the opening ceremony, Director of the Vietnam Cinema Department Dang Tran Cuong emphasized that Cao Bang is a place that marks heroic pages in the struggle for national independence, one of the places deeply associated with revolutionary history and the birth of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army, the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army.
Organizing Film Week here is not only a way to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs but also an opportunity to inspire and educate the younger generation about revolutionary traditions.
The film week aims to educate cadres, soldiers and the general public about the formation, development and contributions of the Vietnam People's Army over the past 80 years, affirming the talented and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.
These films not only reflect the heroic fighting spirit and loyalty to the Fatherland, but also deeply depict the lives, emotions and very simple and familiar aspirations of soldiers./.
