Despite his modest height compared to his colleagues, model Hoa Tran, real name Tran Duy Hoa (22 years old), born and raised in Thua Thien - Hue province, is always persistent and determined to conquer designers in model selection sessions.
Since childhood, model Hoa Tran has been very self-conscious about her skinny appearance and dark skin. In 11th grade, Hoa weighed only 47 kg. Seeing that her body was far behind her friends, in 12th grade, Hoa started working out. Hoa said that at first, she felt very discouraged and always wanted to give up. “Every time I felt it was too difficult, I always thought about why I started. I wanted to change my appearance and improve my health. I tried to change and improve my appearance every day. I used to be so self-conscious and hated my dark skin that I bought whitening products and even used mixed creams,” Hoa said.

After graduating from high school, Hoa went to Da Nang City to study hairdressing. During this time, Hoa posted a photo on social media and received many comments praising his “honey skin” and healthy body. From then on, this young man began to realize his unique beauty and began to love what he had, instead of trying to change.

“Many people ask me if I tan my skin to look so beautiful? I never thought that the thing that made me feel insecure for so long would become something special and attractive to others. I started sunbathing to make my skin healthier and more even-toned. At present, I really love my skin color,” Hoa said. After making a mark on social media and gaining a lot of attention, Hoa started working as a photo model. In 2022, Hoa decided to move to Ho Chi Minh City to seek opportunities in the entertainment industry. “Before coming to Ho Chi Minh City, I told my mother that I wished I were a little taller so I could be a catwalk model,” Hoa said.
Hoa Tran always diligently seeks opportunities at model auditions.

Hoa is 1.75 m tall, which is quite modest compared to other male models (1.8 m or more). However, it is his strong passion for modeling that has helped Hoa to pursue his dream. Hoa said that he works out every day and watches many videos of foreign male models online to learn.

Hoa said that the first time he tried out for designer Ha Linh Thu's model audition, he was nervous and scared. At that time, Hoa was very self-conscious because he did not have the advantage of height and did not have much experience in modeling. However, luck smiled on this young man when he was chosen by designer Ha Linh Thu to perform. "Everyone wants to be perfect when they are born, but my height is limited, so I always try to compensate with other factors to be able to pursue my passion for modeling. When I come to model auditions, I always try to be as neat as possible from hair, makeup, clothes and time. I am very strict with myself in training and maintaining my body shape," Hoa shared. Up to now, Hoa has had the opportunity to perform for many famous designers. In 2023, Hoa received the "Inspirational Model of the Year" award at the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Awards. “I always believe that constant effort and hard work will help me reach my dream one day. And I hope you don’t give up either,” Hoa said.
