* What does traditional Tet mean to you two?
- Tet is an occasion for family members to reunite and spend time together. Although before Tet , every family is busy and many people complain about fearing Tet , the value and meaning of Tet is still there. Traditional Tet is always the motivation for families to celebrate Tet fully and warmly, looking forward to welcoming the new year with a better future. Hang - Hanh likes to surf Facebook to see their friends and family showing off their house decorations for Tet , likes to see friends sharing about going to the flower market, taking pictures with flowers... and feel the jubilant Tet atmosphere through such images.
* What plans do the two families usually have for Tet ?
- Hang and Hanh's family still celebrate Tet according to tradition. On the morning of the first day, the extended family gathers at the paternal home, in the afternoon, they gather at the maternal home, and go to temples and pagodas around Hanoi. On the second day, they spend time visiting and congratulating relatives and friends. On the third day, the extended family leaves Hanoi for a spring outing. Since her father passed away, Hanh often goes to Hanoi to celebrate Tet with her mother.
This year, Hanh's small family also celebrated Tet in the North and South, Khang and Suli stayed in Ho Chi Minh City to take care of the New Year's offerings for her husband's parents; Hanh and Suti went to Hanoi to celebrate Tet with her grandmother. In recent years, because there were events held in Phu Quoc at the beginning of the year, the two families and their mother would combine work and spring travel there. This year, we celebrated the New Year and New Age in a more special place, a place that family members had never been to before. So on the third day of Tet, both families and their grandmother made an appointment to meet and celebrate the New Year in another place.
* In your year of birth, do you think it is a special year with lucky plans?
- Hang - Hanh was born in the middle of 2 years so she often celebrates her birthday on Tet , and according to the lunar calendar, she is always 2 years older. Sometimes she teases her mother that there are still 3 days until the new year, but she doesn't try a little harder, so that we can have the year of the Horse, because girls born in the year of the Snake seem to have too much trouble and hardship... (laughs).
According to folk beliefs, the year of age is an unlucky year, with many difficulties and obstacles in work and life. However, there are also opinions that the year of age is a year of success and luck, so Hang - Hanh believes that when we have an optimistic mentality and a comfortable spirit, every year will be a good year. At the right age, the mind will be at peace, the smile will be radiant, knowing how to accept everything is enough, giving the best to children, caring and sharing with people around... still wishing and trying to do so.
* A wish for each other and for the audience in the new year of At Ty, what would you like to wish?
- Thuy Hang: Hang and Hanh are not only sisters, but also friends, colleagues... Wishing Hang's sister - friend - colleague a new year full of success in all fields, good health and peace. On the occasion of the new year, Thuy Hang would like to wish all readers good health, favorable work, always optimistic and happy.
- Thuy Hanh: Wishing my best friend and dearest sister a peaceful, happy, and prosperous new year! Thuy Hanh also wants to send her best wishes to all readers, a new year of the Snake with all the best and luck!
