More than 250 fishermen in Cam Linh commune, Cam Xuyen district (Ha Tinh) have been educated on combating illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing.
Implementing the peak propaganda plan on combating IUU fishing (illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing), Thien Cam Border Guard Station coordinated with the Anti-Drug Crime Task Force No. 2 (Coast Guard Command) to disseminate relevant knowledge and skills to hundreds of fishermen in Cam Linh commune.
On the morning of June 24, Thien Cam Border Guard Station (Ha Tinh Border Guard) coordinated with the Anti-Drug Crime Task Force No. 2 (Vietnam Coast Guard Command) to organize propaganda against IUU fishing.
Accordingly, during one session, 250 fishermen were informed, reminded, and instructed on: things to know in combating IUU fishing; maps of zoning and fishing routes in Vietnam's waters; things Vietnamese fishermen need to know when fishing in the common fishing area of the Gulf of Tonkin; things that fishing boat owners and fishermen operating at sea need to remember to do...
The program aims to affirm the role, functions and tasks of the Ha Tinh Border Guard and the Anti-Drug Task Force No. 2 in protecting the sovereignty of sea and islands, enforcing the law at sea, fighting against all types of crimes, fighting against drugs... in the assigned areas.

In addition to requiring and reminding fishermen to strictly comply with legal regulations when producing at sea, the authorities also hope that people will raise their sense of responsibility, join hands to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands, protect marine resources, and help each other in times of trouble...
Also on this occasion, the authorities presented 500 leaflets to fishermen to continue to learn and research related issues; presented 200 national flags for fishermen to hang on their fishing boats.
