The author of many emotional chalk drawings is teacher Nguyen Tri Hanh, a former student of painting at Nghe An College of Culture and Arts.
Currently, he is an art teacher at Hermann Gmeiner High School, also known as SOS Children's Village in Vinh City. He has more than 10 years of experience in painting, sculpting, and working with many different materials such as oil paint, watercolor, and gouache...
Since 2021, he has started to draw with chalk. He confided that chalk is a close friend to the person who imparts knowledge. In addition, other materials have been used by many people, so he wants to try to conquer and use chalk proficiently.

The teacher shared that to draw with chalk, one must have a basic understanding of drawing. Next, one must know the technique of using chalk. Regarding the color of chalk, in addition to the original color from the chalk, it also depends on light, so one must understand the principle of light and dark so that the color effect will be attractive and appealing to viewers.
In addition, before drawing, you need to arrange the image layout correctly, in accordance with the content shown. Finally, you must pay attention to the material of the board and chalk.
His topics mainly revolve around the culture and life of Vietnamese people. In each work, he always tries to incorporate traditional beauty to spread humanistic values to young people and preserve culture.

Mr. Hanh shared that after teaching hours, every 5pm, he will spend time on his passion of drawing with chalk. While drawing, he also sets up a camera to be able to share his drawing method with more people.
At the same time, he tried to create a YouTube and TikTok channel, spreading more chalk drawing experiences to those who want to learn. Although the number of interactions is still not much, it is the motivation for him to develop further.
In particular, he and 4 other teachers created the "Blackboard Drawing Corner - Cart" community on social networks to share knowledge as well as create a playground for people with the same passion. When there are events at chalk drawing groups in many localities, he often comes to share his experiences.
