Specifically, the Ha Nam Provincial Tax Department has just publicly disclosed information on 71 taxpayers who still owe taxes and other revenues to the State budget as of October 31, 2023 with an amount of VND 131,125,114,121.
In the list of 71 tax debtors, 21 taxpayers have taken enforcement measures but have not yet recovered their tax debts, 50 have ceased operations, have not completed procedures to terminate their tax codes, are not operating at their registered addresses but still owe taxes.
Typically, Ha Hoa Tien University still owes more than 46 billion VND in taxes, Dai Duong Company Limited owes more than 16 billion VND in taxes, 820 Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company owes more than 12 billion VND in taxes, Bac Viet Production and Trading Joint Stock Company owes more than 3 billion VND in taxes...
According to the Ha Nam Provincial Tax Department, the reason for the disclosure is that these cases violated the provisions of Point a, Clause 1, Article 100 of the Tax Administration Law No. 38/2019/QH14 and Point g, Clause 1, Article 29 of Decree 126/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020 of the Government.
Regarding this issue, the General Department of Taxation has directed that for taxpayers with tax arrears of more than 90 days or tax arrears subject to enforcement, tax departments must immediately apply enforcement measures to recover tax arrears to the State budget.
In case the enforcement decision expires and the taxpayer has not paid or has not paid the full amount of tax debt subject to enforcement to the State budget, it is necessary to promptly switch to applying appropriate enforcement measures in accordance with regulations.
The General Department of Taxation also requires tax departments to publicly disclose information of taxpayers with overdue tax debts in accordance with the law, especially focusing on taxpayers with large and long-term tax debts.
