On March 28, in Hanoi, the National Innovation Center (NIC) and FPT Semiconductor Company, FPT Corporation and foreign technology partners held the opening ceremony of the Semiconductor Incubation and Development Center (VSIC) and the FPT-ALCHIP Semiconductor Startup Incubation Space.

At the event, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy - Director of the National Innovation Center - said that the opening of the Semiconductor Incubation and Development Center (VSIC) and the FPT-ALCHIP Semiconductor Startup Incubation Space marked another important step in realizing the Party and State's policies and orientations on breakthroughs in science, technology and innovation development.
In which, promoting public-private cooperation, the 3-House model: State - School - Enterprise to develop the semiconductor industry in Vietnam, contributing to realizing the goal of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers in Vietnam by 2030 and having 100 chip design enterprises.

Taiwan's Alchip Technologies Group (China) is FPT Group's strategic semiconductor partner. Alchip Group - Taiwan's No. 1 in AI chips has a market capitalization of about 7 billion USD, in which TSMC Group, the world's No. 1 in chip manufacturing, is also a major shareholder investing in Alchip.
“The opening of the first ODC Center in Hanoi – a testament to Vietnam’s strong innovation and the power of international cooperation. Today’s event is not just about launching a new office – it is about “unlocking potential” , Mr. Peter Teng, Vice President of Alchip Technologies Limited, shared at the event.
The establishment of the VSIC Semiconductor Incubation and Development Center demonstrates the strong commitment of FPT Corporation, NIC and partners in building a sustainable semiconductor ecosystem, making Vietnam an attractive destination in this strategic industry.

“Close cooperation between the public and private sectors will create an ecosystem and develop sustainable human resources, helping Vietnam not only catch up but also gradually progress and rise up in global technology trends,” Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam, Deputy Minister of Finance emphasized at the event.
In recent times, the Ministry of Finance has assigned the National Innovation Center (NIC) to cooperate with leading domestic and foreign technology corporations and enterprises to actively and effectively implement many programs and activities. In particular, NIC has coordinated with FPT to provide short-term training scholarships for hundreds of students in the field of semiconductors, and provide technical support on microchip design for about 40 universities in Vietnam.
In addition, NIC and FPT have also effectively coordinated to connect and attract many world technology corporations from the United States, Japan, Taiwan (China), Korea, etc. to Vietnam to study the investment and business environment.
