Photo exhibition of ethnic minorities in Ho Chi Minh City

(Fatherland) - On the morning of November 22, the photo exhibition "Ethnic people are equal, united, dynamic and creative, building and developing a civilized, modern and affectionate Ho Chi Minh City" officially opened at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

The photo exhibition is one of the opening activities within the framework of the activities of the 4th Ho Chi Minh City Ethnic Minority Congress in 2024, scheduled to take place on December 5 and 6.

Speaking at the opening of the Exhibition, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Ethnic Committee Huynh Van Hong Ngoc said that through each Congress, the Party and State always pay attention to ethnic minorities, the atmosphere of solidarity and friendship among ethnic groups. The opinions and suggestions at the Congresses have contributed to perfecting policies, creating conditions for ethnic minorities to develop the economy, improve their lives, promote and spread the beauty of traditional culture.

The exhibition displays 83 images collected and introduced according to 3 themes. The first part with the theme "Ethnic minorities for a peaceful, independent and unified Vietnam", introduces precious images of President Ho Chi Minh - the initiator, builder and wholehearted caretaker of the great solidarity of ethnic groups. Ethnic minorities show their love for Uncle Ho, their eternal and infinite faith in the Party and the State, their steadfast loyalty to the Party and Uncle Ho, participating in the revolutionary struggle movement, contributing to the cause of national liberation and unification.

Part 2 with the theme "53 ethnic minorities unite, develop together with the City", introduces the image of the people of all ethnic groups in Ho Chi Minh City with a tradition of steadfast revolution, efforts to overcome difficulties, solidarity, dynamism, creativity, and unity "with the whole country, for the whole country" to achieve many achievements, and achieve many successes in building, innovating and developing the City and the country.

Part 3 with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City Ethnic Minority Congress - Great Festival of Ethnic Minorities", introduces some typical images of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Congress in 2009, 2nd in 2014, 3rd in 2019, and images of district-level Congresses towards the 4th Congress in 2024.

Joining the delegation to view the images displayed at the Exhibition, Ms. Nong Thi Phong (Tay ethnic group) was moved to share, "The images at the Exhibition speak to the attention of the Party, State and authorities at all levels towards the ethnic minority community", she also expressed "the hope to receive more attention as well as policies and regimes for ethnic minorities".

Attending the opening ceremony and visiting the Exhibition for the first time, Ms. May-xa-mah (Cham ethnic group) said, "I am very happy and touched, I did not expect that a small ethnic minority living in Ho Chi Minh City would still receive attention, be respected, feel important when just a commoner but still be cared for by the government, invited to attend the Exhibition". This is also the feeling of Ms. Jagoardjack when for the first time "seeing images of Uncle Ho that I have never seen before, now seeing it with my own eyes, I am very happy, very moved".
