The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Binh Thuan Province Branch to celebrate the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024) and the 113th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2024).
The exhibition focuses on introducing more than 40 documentary photos of daily life and simple moments during his lifetime such as: President Ho Chi Minh giving candy to children at the New Year's meeting at the Presidential Palace in 1955; President Ho Chi Minh chopping firewood in the Viet Bac War Zone; President Ho Chi Minh feeding rice to a child in the Viet Bac War Zone in 1951; President Ho Chi Minh working at the Presidential Palace flower bed in 1957... The documentary photos have demonstrated his simple, honest life, close to the people, respect for the people, full of love for people, labor and nature. The image of Uncle Ho is always familiar and simple in worn-out clothes and rubber sandals, making viewers emotional.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tram (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) said: "There are simple documents about Uncle Ho that we see for the first time, such as images of Uncle Ho chopping wood, fishing, learning to swim... These documents help us love, respect and be grateful to Uncle Ho more."
Within the framework of the Exhibition, the Organizing Committee also displayed nearly 100 works of art photography, aiming to introduce the cultural, historical values, tourism resources and people of Binh Thuan to domestic and foreign tourists.
The exhibition is organized to help people, especially the young generation, have the opportunity to access many valuable documents and artifacts to learn and feel more deeply about the character, courage, and simple but noble life of President Ho Chi Minh. This is also an opportunity to encourage cadres, soldiers, and people of all walks of life to actively promote the effective implementation of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style. Thereby, contributing to educating the revolutionary tradition and patriotism for cadres and people; especially the young generation in the cause of innovation and development of the country.
The exhibition runs until June 15, 2024.
