Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the results of implementing the project "Developing tourism in Binh Phuoc province for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030"

According to the report at the meeting, in 2024, the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee will pay attention to and promptly direct programs and plans on tourism management and development to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in orienting and promoting tourism development. Binh Phuoc has focused on developing infrastructure associated with tourism and services; reviewing mechanisms and policies to attract investment and develop tourism to attract large investors; and at the same time, building tourism products associated with the advantages and potentials of localities.

In 2024, many cultural and sports activities associated with tourism will be organized on a large scale and of high quality such as: Exhibition space, promotion of culture - tourism - cuisine typical of provinces and cities in the Southeast region; National Cross-country Mountaineering Championship "Conquering the peak of Ba Ra"; especially the festival "Echoing the pestle sound on Bom Bo village" held for the first time at the S'tieng ethnic cultural reserve in Bom Bo village on a large scale, with many meaningful activities associated with revolutionary sites that have attracted a large number of tourists to participate. The province also announced a number of tours. The coordinated implementation activities related to tourism have been well implemented. Many localities have models and solutions to effectively promote tourism development.

The activities have greatly contributed to helping the provincial tourism industry complete the set plan goals. In 2024, the provincial tourism industry welcomed over 1.4 million visitors, an increase of nearly 500,000 visitors compared to 2023. Tourism revenue reached about 814 billion VND, an increase of nearly 50% compared to 2023.

At the meeting, representatives of departments, branches, localities and units discussed and clarified difficulties and obstacles in tourism development; at the same time, proposed solutions to maximize the tourism potential and advantages of the province, gradually building quality tourism products of Binh Phuoc with unique characteristics to connect with tours and tourist routes inside and outside the province.

Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

In her concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh requested: The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to absorb the opinions at the meeting, redesign the work program of the Steering Committee, the plan to implement the task of developing tourism in Binh Phuoc province in 2025 to ensure substance, efficiency, no administrative, no formality.

Along with that, create all conditions to have more unique, special tourism products in Binh Phuoc associated with improving the quality of services at tourist destinations and existing tourism products. The authorities guide and support potential tourist areas and destinations that meet the procedures to be licensed according to regulations; promote the development of eco-tourism associated with the development of the forest economy; pay more attention to connecting regional tourism and training human resources for tourism.
