This morning, July 10, in Hanoi, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission (CIC) Tran Cam Tu chaired a national online conference to review the inspection and supervision work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Party Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Le Quang Tung chaired the conference at the Quang Tri bridge. Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's CIC Ho Thi Thu Hang attended.

According to the report of the Central Inspection Commission, in the first 6 months of 2024, the work of Party inspection and discipline enforcement continued to be promoted by Party committees and Inspection Commissions at all levels and achieved positive results. The content of inspection and discipline enforcement has a focus, focusing on prominent and pressing issues in society and of public concern.

As a result, Party committees at all levels inspected 18,476 Party organizations and 107,165 Party members (a decrease of 5.2% of Party organizations and an increase of 7.1% of Party members compared to the same period in 2023), with 23,807 Party committee members (accounting for 22.2%) on the implementation of resolutions, directives, regulations, and conclusions of the Party; leadership and direction of the implementation of resolutions of Party congresses at all levels; implementation of the principle of democratic centralism, working regulations of Party committees...

Through inspection, it was concluded that 631 party organizations and 1,767 party members had violations and shortcomings, of which 2 party organizations and 67 party members were considered for disciplinary action, and 1 party organization and 65 party members were disciplined.

The Politburo and the Secretariat established 10 inspection teams led by Politburo members and Party Central Committee Secretaries to inspect 20 party organizations; Party committees at all levels conducted inspections when there were signs of violations at 131 party organizations and 922 party members.

Through inspection, it was concluded that 89 party organizations and 804 party members had violations and shortcomings; 43 party organizations and 584 party members were considered for disciplinary action; 26 party organizations and 497 party members were disciplined. Inspection committees at all levels inspected 804 party organizations and 2,850 party members when there were signs of violations; 613 party organizations and 2,390 party members had violations and shortcomings; 60 party organizations and 910 party members were disciplined.

Inspection Committees at all levels inspected the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks of 13,257 party organizations (down 1.2% compared to the same period in 2023); concluding that 10,198 party organizations performed well the inspected content.

Also in the 6 months, Party committees at all levels and Party cells supervised 11,771 Party organizations and 42,905 Party members; concluded that 353 Party organizations and 778 Party members had violations and shortcomings; and transferred 8 Party organizations and 42 Party members for inspection when there were signs of violations.

Inspection committees at all levels have supervised 8,733 party organizations and 12,890 party members, including 8,601 committee members. Through supervision, it was concluded that 635 party organizations and 551 party members had violations and shortcomings; 16 party organizations and 25 party members were transferred for inspection when there were signs of violations.

Party committees at all levels and Party cells have disciplined 165 Party organizations and 7,858 Party members, including 1,636 Party committee members. Inspection Commissions at all levels have disciplined 143 Party organizations and 3,147 Party members.

At the conference, delegates focused on assessing limitations and shortcomings; sharing experiences; and proposing solutions to more effectively implement the KTGS work in the coming time.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu requested Party committees, Party organizations, Inspection Commissions at all levels, especially leaders, to continue to be proactive and determined in leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of inspection work and enforcing Party discipline.

Proactively advise, coordinate, and promptly and effectively carry out tasks assigned by the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, Party committees at all levels, the Central Steering Committee, and provincial steering committees on corruption prevention and control.

Continue to comprehensively and effectively carry out tasks according to the Party Charter, the declaration of assets, income and tasks assigned by the Party Committee, focusing on inspection when there are signs of violations; promptly detect, inspect and resolutely handle Party organizations and Party members who have degraded in political ideology, lifestyle ethics, "self-evolution", "self-transformation", violations of regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, violations of Party principles and regulations, State laws, corruption, negativity, group interests and pressing cases and incidents in society.

Effectively carry out regular supervision of lower-level party organizations and party members to detect, prevent, and warn of violations and shortcomings. Resolutely resolve petitions and complaints, especially those related to Party committee personnel and cadres under central management, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Organize conferences to review the work of inspection, supervision and party discipline. Rotate leaders of all sectors and levels to do inspection work and inspectors to work in other sectors to train, foster, create a source of cadres, and prepare personnel for the Inspection Committee for the next term.
