On July 18, in Ha Long City, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province jointly held a conference to review the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024 in the State Management of Religion sector. Comrades : Vu Chien Thang, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vu Hoai Bac, Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs co-chaired the conference. The conference was attended by nearly 250 delegates representing ministries, central agencies and 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
In the first 6 months of the year, state management of religious activities was closely implemented, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency, contributing to stabilizing the religious situation nationwide.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, informed about the outstanding results of the socio-economic situation of Quang Ninh province. As a locality with strong economic development, at the same time, it pays special attention to devoting many resources to investing in the fields of culture - society - people, including religion. Therefore, Quang Ninh is considered a locality with stable religious activities. With 4 main religions, the whole province has a total of more than 200,000 followers, accounting for nearly 16.6% of the population. The activities of religious organizations always promote the spirit of solidarity, attachment, companionship, and sharing responsibility with society.
At the conference, presentations by representatives of ministries, departments, branches and localities pointed out the current situation, lessons learned and a number of solutions related to consulting, training, fostering and state management of religious and belief activities in the current context.
In the last 6 months of the year, the state management sector on religion continued to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; continued to innovate management, foreign affairs, inspection and examination work. At the same time, it strengthened training and specialized training, thereby improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management on beliefs and religions nationwide.
