Athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh has achieved many high achievements in athletics. At the 32nd SEA Games alone, Nguyen Thi Oanh won 4 gold medals, including the feat of winning 2 gold medals in 2 running distances with a rest period of less than 30 minutes. This is an unprecedented and unbelievable achievement for sports, especially athletics.

"Superwoman of the Track" or "Champion without lungs"... are the nicknames given by fans to Nguyen Thi Oanh - the small girl who demonstrated extraordinary abilities and excellently completed her mission in the 32nd SEA Games. She became a typical image, an inspirational example not only for Vietnamese sports but also for the entire Southeast Asian region.

She is also the character with the highest number of votes from VietNamNet readers among the 10 nominees.

Previously, after nearly 1 month of launching the vote for Inspiring VietNamNet Characters 2023, at exactly 11:59 p.m. on December 10, VietNamNet newspaper closed the voting portal and selected 3 characters with the highest number of votes in order from highest to lowest.

2023 is the 4th year that VietNamNet newspaper has organized the Inspirational Character Award to honor examples and projects of individuals and organizations that have spread and positively influenced the community.
