Last weekend, more than 40,000 visitors came to visit the Vietnam Military History Museum in one day, a record number that no other museum in the country has ever achieved.
This is a special cultural work typical of the Army and the country, which has great appeal to all classes of people. When visiting, every citizen is very proud to see the work with its massive, unique, modern architecture with tens of thousands of artifacts reflecting the entire heroic military history of the Vietnamese people from the time of the Hung Kings to the Ho Chi Minh era, the formation and development of the people's armed forces, the core of which is the heroic Vietnam People's Army.

How joyful it is that the museum has received public attention when it opened! Many people traveled thousands of miles to joyfully admire the artifacts displayed both inside and outside the museum grounds. However, amid the general joy, there were still some people who showed inappropriate behavior such as applying external force to outdoor artifacts, carelessly climbing on tanks and airplanes to pose for photos. Such behavior affected the display and preservation work, even deforming and damaging the artifacts. The reason was the curiosity and lack of understanding of a few people about the value of military heritage.
More than 150,000 artifacts displayed and preserved in the Vietnam Military History Museum are invaluable military heritages, crystallizing the intelligence, blood and bones of our army and people throughout the history of the struggle for national liberation and defense of the Fatherland. Each artifact, whether small and rudimentary such as a vase, tire sandals, ropes... or large and modern such as airplanes, tanks, missiles... all contain their own stories, carrying profound historical values. These priceless artifacts are like living evidence preserved and passed down through generations, demonstrating the aspiration for independence, freedom, the spirit of community solidarity to repel invaders, protect the border, maintain peace to build the Fatherland.
The glorious history of the Vietnamese people has gone through many glorious victories so that today's generation, when turning the pages of the glorious history, is even more moved and proud. Not only through history books, the existing military heritages are true evidence of the glorious past of our ancestors. Visiting the military heritage, we seem to be given more strength, will, and faith to be proud of the Vietnamese nation, the Vietnamese people, to know how to be grateful to our ancestors, to live responsibly with the community, to arouse the spirit of independence, confidence, and national pride to step firmly into the future.
The current steps are only truly steady if we know how to rely on the good traditional roots of our ancestors. Among them, military heritage is an extremely precious value. Therefore, never (intentionally or unintentionally) violate historical artifacts that have been soaked with the sweat and blood of our ancestors. Let us treat heritage with affection, understanding, political responsibility and high cultural awareness. Every citizen when visiting military museums and historical sites of the revolutionary resistance is returning to sacred values, so we must respect the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" so as not to be ashamed of the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations for us to have a peaceful life today.
