After a few minutes of chatting with Mr. Dao Bao Son, Head of Accounting - Treasury Department of the Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, we were quite impressed with his way of conveying information.
Although accounting work is inherently dry and principled, through specific messages and actions, Mr. Son shows us the openness and dynamism of a creative, enthusiastic and passionate officer.
Dao Bao Son was born and raised in the countryside of Thuong Nong commune, Tam Nong district (Phu Tho). Since childhood, he has been exposed to difficult circumstances, from which he understands the hardships of the poor.
After graduating from the Banking Academy in 2004, Mr. Son returned to his hometown and worked at Yen Lap Transaction Office (Phu Tho). Recalling that time, the Social Policy Bank was newly established (October 2002), with very poor facilities and working conditions, however, his love for the job and his passion for the job helped Mr. Son overcome difficult times.
With strong faith and solid expertise, Mr. Son has gone through many positions, demonstrating the qualities of a good policy credit officer, quickly maturing, becoming a support, building trust, and adding motivation to help many colleagues complete their tasks well.
In 2008, Mr. Son transferred to the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Tam Duong District - Social Policy Bank of Vinh Phuc Province to work. At this time, Vinh Phuc vigorously implemented policy credit programs, promoting poverty reduction programs throughout the province.
With the enthusiasm of a young officer, Dao Bao Son quickly developed his abilities and was promoted to many positions at the transaction office. In 2016, he was transferred to work at the headquarters of the Social Policy Bank branch in Vinh Phuc province, holding the position of Deputy Head of the Accounting - Treasury Department.
Sharing about his current job, Mr. Son shared: “During the annual settlement period, I am directly responsible for synthesizing financial settlement reports such as form 26A/QT - Annual financial settlement report and attached appendices, controlling data of the affiliated CSXH Bank transaction offices and requesting data checks to ensure no errors occur.
After finalizing the exact figures with the transaction offices and receiving the notification from the Central Bank for Social Policies, calculate and notify the contracting units of the annual financial results of each unit, advise the Salary Council to issue a document notifying the results achieved by each transaction office, ensuring that the salary results accurately reflect the operating results of each unit.
The workload is huge and prone to mistakes. To limit errors, ensure fairness, and reward the right people at the right time, I am always willing to work overtime, explore digital technology applications in management, and come up with many effective initiatives to improve work efficiency."
A typical example is the initiative: "Program to synthesize and analyze monthly interest and remaining interest calculated to the next transaction period". This is a tool to help branch and transaction office leaders proactively direct interest collection plans and financial plans, contributing to improving the credit quality of the unit; helping credit officers have data to advise commune and ward leaders, coordinate with unions and the Savings and Loan Group to effectively manage policy credit.
After applying the initiative, credit quality has been increasingly improved, credit officers and unit leaders have an accurate basis to make profit collection plans, contributing to the successful completion of the unit's financial plan.
Or like the initiative "Unit Cost Analysis Program", the program provides a detailed data form for each unit's cost account at the end of the month, the data source is the month-end account balance of the units synchronized by the Project Board to the branch's Reporting Information server on a monthly basis. Thanks to that, branch leaders can base on the data to direct the implementation of the units' financial plans, promptly correcting units with high management costs exceeding the prescribed norms.
Not only performing well in his professional work, Mr. Son always actively responded and participated in emulation movements launched by all levels of the industry, always completing well and excellently after summarizing the emulation movements.
With colleagues, Mr. Son always cares, shares, and helps with expertise and professionalism, helping colleagues overcome difficulties at work, leaving a good impression of an exemplary officer, who goes hand in hand with his actions, does not shy away from difficult tasks, and volunteers to take the lead in carrying out tasks assigned by superiors.
With his good qualities and diligence in work, in 2022, Mr. Son was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and many other Certificates of Merit and Certificates of Merit. He deserves to be a shining example for policy credit officers to learn from, follow, maximize the effectiveness of policy capital, and actively contribute to poverty reduction.
