On the evening of June 13 (Vietnam time), the online movie platform Amazon Prime launched The Boys season 4 - a black comedy series satirizing famous "superheroes" for its violence and satirical details related to real life.
In contrast to the world of Marvel or DC, The Boys universe is where heroes abuse their superpowers to become marketing tools, committing crimes without fear of being punished by the law.
The anti-hero team The Boys, consisting of Billy Butcher, Hughie, Kimiko and Mother's Milk, are tasked with sabotaging and exposing the crimes of corrupt "superheroes".
Black Noir suddenly talks a lot, A-train is on the good side
After the success of the first three seasons and two years of waiting for the sequel, Amazon has "satisfied" fans of this series by posting the first three episodes, each one hour long.
According to information from the producer, The Boys will last 8 episodes and air weekly on the Amazon Prime platform, with Vietnamese subtitles supported.

The new season begins when The Boys are planning to sabotage the election of US Vice President Neuman, who was revealed in the previous season to have superpowers that can easily destroy political opponents.
We also see a Homelander who has to go to court after the events in the previous part. With absolute power, the "fake" Superman now considers The Boys as trash and not worth caring about, instead focusing on... raising his son Ryan and facing a midlife crisis.
The film also introduces two new members of The Seven: Firecracker , a racist heroine who satirizes conservative elements in American society, and Sister Sage , a new formidable opponent against The Boys whose superpower is superhuman intelligence.

Black Noir , the mysterious character who was killed by Homelander in the previous part, has now been replaced by someone else by Vought . The moment when the character who had barely said a word throughout the series suddenly became talkative made many viewers excited.
At the same time, signs that character A-train is about to turn to the good side also caused a stir in the fan community. This is one of the characters with the most excellent psychological development throughout the 4 seasons of The Boys.
The Boys lost points with critics
Before reaching the audience, The Boys part 4 received quite positive scores from critics and film sites.
The film currently has a "fresh tomato" score of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes . Although it has stumbled a bit compared to previous parts, most still appreciate The Boys ' efforts in continuing to surprise audiences after 4 seasons on air.

The common "criticism" of most critics is that the satirical material in The Boys is no longer as fresh as the first seasons.
Many viewers were also happy with the news that the series would officially end after five parts.
They believe that a good movie should have a complete ending, avoiding "long nights, many dreams", taking "long-running" brands like The Walking Dead, Prison Break, The Flash ... as examples.
The decline of the superhero genre has also arguably left The Boys with some of its satirical tools.
In terms of acting, The Boys still proves that a movie doesn't need any Hollywood A-list stars to maintain sustainable quality through many parts.
In season 4, the appearance of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, famous for his role as Negan in The Walking Dead , also received much attention.
