The Central Youth Union, the Forestry Department and other units have just inaugurated an environmental protection information corner and tours to protect forests, water resources, and environmental protection issues at Cuc Phuong National Park (Ninh Binh).
With the theme "Journey with Mizu to protect the environment", children participated in extracurricular forest experience activities designed as "classrooms in the forest" to raise awareness of team members, teenagers and children about the role and importance of forests, the close relationship between forests and water resources, the issue of forest protection, soil conservation and groundwater protection.
Mr. Vu Gia Dan - Deputy Head of the Central Youth Union's Children's Affairs Department - said that designing activities to visit and experience the national park is an effective propaganda method, providing interesting lessons about the forest to help students raise awareness and take action to protect forest resources.
"From there, students will be more responsible for the green Earth through specific actions such as not littering, saving water, and planting trees," he said.
According to the organizers, the program will be gradually expanded to national parks across the country so that local primary school students can access it, not only through extracurricular forest experience activities for students, but also focusing on developing interesting environmental information corners.
At this information corner, we will design biodiversity content for each forest, install waste sorting bin systems, organize training sessions for staff and volunteers in the gardens...
