This morning (August 29), Le Thanh Construction and Trading Company Limited held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Le Thanh Tan Kien Social Housing Project in Binh Chanh District (HCMC). The ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong.
Le Thanh Tan Kien Social Housing Project consists of 4 apartment blocks, 18 floors high and 2 commercial service blocks; total construction area of 127,000m2 , total commercial service floor area of about 47,000m2 . The project provides 1,445 social housing apartments in the form of 49-year lease, with an average area of 45m2 to 50m2 , suitable for the needs of low and middle income people.
The project is located on two frontages of Nguyen Cuu Phu Street, Vo Van Kiet extended street and N2 projected road in Tan Kien commune (Binh Chanh district). After completion, the project will meet the housing needs of workers in industrial parks, contributing to improving the quality of life of low- and middle-income people in Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong affirmed that the city's leaders recognized the dedication of the investor and the departments and agencies that have focused on completing legal procedures to break ground on this project. Ho Chi Minh City has adjusted its master plan to 2040, with a vision to 2060. Accordingly, focusing on reviewing and adjusting plans, including plans on housing development, will create new conditions for attracting investment in developing housing projects in the city.
From August 1, 2024, when the 2024 Land Law, Housing Law, Real Estate Business Law... come into effect and Ho Chi Minh City has implemented Resolution 98 on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies, including mechanisms and policies on social housing development, on planning adjustments to serve housing development, the city's social housing development plan is feasible. The leaders of the City People's Committee acknowledged the contributions of a number of real estate enterprises in developing social housing projects in the city.
